St Peter's Kirkyard is located next to the Links on the South Road. If you are travelling by car then you can enter via either of the gates and then park on the gravel path which bounds the War Memorial. I would not recommend parking on the South Road for more than a few minutes as your vehicle will probably cause problems for the traffic because there are a lot of articulated lorries using this road. Take care when both entering and leaving the gates because the traffic on the South Road can be extremely busy at certain times of the day. St Peter's is the oldest cemetery in Peterhad and records date from 1709. There are very few new burials in this cemetery although it was still quite active through towards the end of the 20th century. Sadly, many of the stones are now either illegible or have been vandalised over the years. Inscriptions on a number of the stones are deteriorating to the point of being lost.
